The vineyards at this estate were certified biodynamic in 2003. This is a practice of not only farming organically, but also viewing the vineyard as its own ecosystem with some mysticism thrown in. This estate primarily works with the grape, Chenin Blanc.

The harvesting of wine in La Rioja has ancient lineage with origins dating back to the Phoenicians but it wasn’t until 1953 that it was legally structured.  Reserva wines have to be aged 3 years before being released.
